Chennai: To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will hold an online contest on 26 June for individuals and students.
NCB Zonal Director A Bruno in a release here today said the UN General Assembly passed a Resolution proclaiming June 26 every year as the ‘International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The NCB, being the national Nodal Agency on drug law enforcement in India observe the day by organising various awareness programmes.
This year online entries are invited from individuals and students- from Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Lakshadweep to participate in Compose song and record music video, Anti-Drug slogan and Painting/drawing categories in Hindi, English and Regional languages.
The theme of the competition is ‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life’. The best 10 entries under each category will be chosen by the Selection Committee at National level and will be given prizes and certificates. Their talents will be displayed on 26 June.
Entries should be sent to [email protected]. The last date for entries was 18 June. The name of winners will be announced on 26 June and prizes will be distributed the same day.
