Chennai: Wife of AIADMK legislator Palani, who is currently getting treatment at a private hospital in Chennai for Covid-19, has been reportedly tested for coronavirus.
Following this, she too has been admitted to hospital. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami had directed that all medical assistance be provided to the legislator.
According to an official release, “Soon after getting to know, the chief minister spoke to Palani’s two sons on and enquired about the health condition of the legislator. On Sunday, he personally spoke to Palani over phone and assured him all the necessary help, besides wishing him a speedy recovery.”
Palani, who represents Sriperumbudur in the Assembly, was admitted to a private hospital at Nandambakkam. He was the second MLA in Tamilnadu to test positive after Opposition DMK legislator J Anbazhagan, who later succumbed to COVID-19.
