Chennai: Pine Labs has introduced ePOS, an Android mobile payment application for merchants during the nationwide lockdown with an eye to help merchants engaged in essential services accept payments in a safe manner.

According to the company, this is now being widely used by merchants across India as is evident from the more than 50,000 installs of this app on the Google Play Store. The app helps merchants accept payments via credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and mobile wallets using just their Android smartphone.

“We are very happy to see the traction which ePOS by Pine Labs has witnessed with its launch recently. Covid-19 is a Black Swan event and the national lockdown that followed was quite unprecedented. We had to be agile and come up with a product that could help the merchants in this hour of crisis. ePOS product launch showcased our commitment to our merchant partners to innovate and adapt using the best of technology,” said a Pine Labs spokesperson.
