Chennai: Contractors of Greater Chennai Corporation have made an appeal to the the civic body’s Commissioner to not demand any new documents while renewing their contracts.
In a letter to Commissioner Prakash, a copy of which was released to the media, Vetrivel, president of contractors association, has said that they were left without work for more than 100 days due to the ongoing Covid-19 induced lockdown.
“We are not in a position to renew our contracts by submitting new documents. By following the Central government, the contracts should be renewed by the Greater Chennai Corporation without demanding documents such as GSTR1 and GSTR 3B,” he said.
