Chennai: Actor Suriya will join hands with filmmaker Vettri Maaran for a movie titled Vaadivaasal.
Sources say it will feature Suriya in dual roles that of a father and son. Reports are also that both the father and the son will be seen as bull tamers in the film.
Vaadivaasal is said to be inspired from popular Tamil novel Vaadi Vaasal, written by writer CS Chellappa. Back in 2017, Vetri Maaran had secured the rights of the novel as he was impressed with the plot.
The film is said to be based on Jallikattu sport, practised in Tamilnadu. G V Prakash has been roped in to compose music for the project.
Vetri Maaran will begin Vaadivaasal only in early 2021. Meanwhile, Suriya will also shoot for director Hari’s upcoming film, Aruvaa, which will be produced by KE Gnanavel Raja. He is also awaiting the release of Soorarai Pottru.
