Chennai: A fight over a leaking sewage in Adambakkam took a violent turn with a young man murdering his neighbour.
According to sources, Selvam (50), a resident of Ambedkar Nagar in Adambakkam worked as a bus ticket operator in Koyambedu.
He had a fight with his neighbour Anjali over a broken sewage pipe. The damaged pipe had resulted in sewage overflowing on to the road. With the fight turning ugly, last night, Anjali’s son Kuralarasan and his friends came to Selavam’s house.
The duo had an argument and Kuralarasan murdered him and escaped. Selvam died on the spot.
Police arrived and sent Selvam’s body to Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. Search is on for Kuralarasan.
