Bengaluru: A Congress Councillor from Karnataka has come out with a bizarre remedy for the Covid-19 pandemic—rum and eggs.
In a video, Ravichandra Gatti, Congress councillor from Ullal CMC in Mangaluru, asks people to drink 90ml rum after adding a teaspoonful of ground pepper. “Eat two half-fried omelettes as well, and coronavirus will disappear”, he claimed.
According to Gatti, he had tried many medicines, and only this one worked. He added that he is not suggesting this as a politician. but as a member of the corona committee.
Mangaluru MLA UT Khader said said the district administration should find out why Gatti shared the video on social media.
“Gatti has been a social worker for the past 15 years. We will also discuss the matter with party leaders and take a decision,” he said.
