Chennai: Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has condoled the death of his Madhya Pradesh counterpart Lalji Tandon, who passed away during the early hours of today.
In a statement, Purohit said, “the sad demise of Shri Lalji Tandon, Honāble Governor of Madhya Pradesh fills me with great shock and grief. He was a great statesmen, effective administrator and wonderful human being. He devoted his whole life for the welfare of the people of India particularly of Uttar Pradesh.Ā He was Cabinet Minister, Leader of House and also Leader of Opposition in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He was active Parliamentarian in Lok Sabha. He was Honourable Governor of Bihar also. His demise is irreparable loss to the people of India.”
The Governor added: “I convey my deep condolences to the bereaved members of the family and pray to the Almighty God to rest his soul in peace and giveĀ strength to his family to overcome this unfathomable loss.”
