Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth today thanked Tamilnadu government for taking action to remove video that defamed Kanda Shasti Kavasam.
In his Twitter today, Rajinikanth, said, “I would like to thank the Tamilnadu government for taking down the video that spewed venom on Kandha Shasti Kavasam and for arresting people behind the channel who hurt millions of Tamils with their unforgettable video”.
“I hope people don’t talk bad about a particular religion or God at least in the future. All religions are equal. Kandanuku Arogara.”
Karuppar Koottam, a YouTube channel, came out with videos that spoke bad about Kanda Shasti Kavasam besides Hindu Gods. The people behind the channel were arrested by the Tamilnadu police following complaints and the investigation is going on.
Celebrities from all walks of lives condemned the videos. On the professional front, Rajinikanth is part of Siva’s Annaatthe. The film has Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu, Soori, Sathish playing important roles.
Imman has composed music for the film. The background theme of the film is already hit among Rajinikanth fans. Rumours are that Rajini is also working on a film with Kamal Haasan, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. There will be update on the film once the coronavirus situation improves in the country.
