Popular producer Gnanavel Raja, who has issued a public notice on the 300 crore chit fund fraudulent allegations which are being published in the media houses. Gnanavel’s advocate Vijayan Subramanian says that the producer sold Magamuni’s outright rights to Needhimani’s Tarun Pictures for 6.25 crores.
But Needhimani has so far settled only 2.3 crores and remaining 3.95 crores is pending from Tarun Pictures and a complaint has been filed by Gnanavel Rajs.
However, Gnanavel said that he was shocked to read news reports saying he was involved in a chit fraudulent scam along with Needhimani, his wife Menaka, and Anand by cheating 300 crore rupees from Thulasimanigandan and his allies through a chit fund firm called Bin Tech.
Gnanavel says that he is not aware of any such business and requested the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram to conduct the investigation through video conferencing considering the pandemic situation.
Gnanavel also instructed his advocate to file a defamation suit seeking Rs 10 crore for defaming his name and reputation.
