Chennai: Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who tested positive for coronavirus, continued to be asymptomatic, active and doing well.
A health bulletin issued by Kauvery Hospital here said the Governor was being continuously monitored by the hospital’s medical team.
Purohit tested positive for the virus on August two after 87 members of Raj Bhavan tested positive earlier. Purohit tested positive for Covid-19 when he went to hospital for a health checkup.
“As the infection is mild, he has been advised home isolation and will be monitored by the medical team of the hospital”, the bulletin said.
Purohit was on seven days of isolation from 29 July on the advise by the doctors after 87 members of Raj Bhavan had tested positive for Covid-19.
