Chennai: The Art of Living Tamilnadu chapter is set to organise ‘Velundu Vinayillai’- Tamil Bhakti Sangamam online on 9 August between 11 am and 1 pm.
The objective is to celebrate and rekindle the essence of the Bhakti tradition in Tamilnadu. Along with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, revered heads of Aadheenams, Mathaadhipatis and spiritual leaders will address the people.
“Devotion is known to bring a sense of inner peace and calm, alleviate fears and anxieties giving people hope to face uncertainties in today’s troubled times.
The program will witness revered spiritual masters and Gurus, Mataadhipathis coming together and share their thoughts and wisdom on the value and relevance of Bhakti in people’s lives, its ability to heal and uplift people, moreso, in the current context of the ongoing pandemic,” said a statement from Art of Living.
Popular artists will sing bhajans dedicated to Lord Murugan, as an invocation to the lord of valour, courage and beauty. There will be a group chanting of the sacred Kanda Sashti Kavasam followed by Sri Sri Ravishankar’s address.
On 26 July, Sri Sri Ravishankar led two crore people through Kanda Sashti Kavasam chanting. People from India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and other nations with Tamil speaking populations across the world participated.
