New Delhi: Former President Pranab Mukherjee today said that he tested positive for Covid-19 and requested people who came in contact with him in the last week to self isolate and get tested for the viral infection.
‘On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for COVID19 today. I request the people who came in contact with me in the last week, to please self isolate and get tested for COVID-19,’ he tweeted.
A number of political leaders have been tested positive in recent times. They include Union Ministers Amit Shah, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Vishvas Sarang, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, B. Sriramulu, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Agriculture Minister BC Patil and Congress’ Leader of the Ppposition, Siddaramaiah, and Karti Chidambaram among others.
