Chennai: Thousand Lights MLA Ku Ka Selvam, who was dismissed from the DMK on Thursday, today said more leaders will come out from the party as they are disappointed with the state of affairs.
Speaking to reporters here, he said that the DMK has murdered democracy by expelling him from the party. “I will continue to serve my constituency as a legislator,” he said and added that he has not decided to join any party.
Sources said he would make some serious allegations against the DMK leadership, which might cause embarrassment to the party.
“Selvam was in-charge of Anna Arivalayam, the headquarters of the DMK. He was so close to party president M K Stalin and other leaders. He knows secrets of the party and would make some of them public in the days to come,” sources added.
The DMK on Thursday dismissed Selvam from the primary membership of the party for acting in a manner that brought disrepute to the party and for violating the party discipline.
Stalin, in a statement here said, Selvam was permanently dismissed from the party as the reply given by the MLA, who was elected from Thousand Lights constituency, to the show cause notice was not satisfactory.
Selvam, a prominent face in the DMK, was also relieved from all party posts, he added. He was already suspended and removed from the post of the DMK
headquarters office secretary and from the high-level executive committee for meeting senior BJP leaders, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and BJP national president J P Nadda in New Delhi.
