Chennai: Those who rendered service by risking their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic were honoured at the Independence Day celebrations of Tamilnadu Vaazh Anaithu Makkal Nala Munnetra Sangam at Choolaimedu in Chennai.
Deputy Commissioner of Police G Dharmarajan honoured Nungambakkam Assistant Commissioner Muthuvel Pandi, Choolaimedu Inspector G Anand Babu, writer PSP Vijay Bala, Corporation officials and others who reached out to the public during the tough times. They were presented ‘Covid-19 Hero’ awards.
