Chennai: Tamilnadu government today ordered to issue one kg free wheat at fair price shops till November.
The Food department said the wheat will be distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
“Wheat can be given to those who ask for it and the quantity of rice who opt for wheat can be reduced,” the department said.
It may be noted that free provisions are being distributed for free in Tamilnadu from the implementation of Covid-19 induced lockdown in the State.
