Chennai: The Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) of the Tamilnadu police has busted a fake Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) blending unit with the arrest of five people at in Thenpasiyar near Tindivanam in Villupuram district.
Sources said acting on a tip off, a special PEW team raided the place and busted the fake IMFL making unit, which was functioning from a van.
During the raids, the PEW team also seized more than 2,000 spurious liquor bottles of 180 ml each, 1,000 holograms, bottle caps, labels, a bottling machine and 120 litres of illicit distilled arrack.
