New Delhi: Coronavirus count keeps on increasing in India and it does not seems to decrease. The country recorded its single-day spike of 77,266 Covid 19 cases in the last 24 hours.

According to Union Health Ministry data released this morning, the total coronvirus tally now stands at 33,87,500. The death toll has climbed to 61,529 with 1,057 people succumbing to the diseases.

As many as 25,83,948 people have recovered from Coronavirus and there are 7,42,023 active cases in the country which comprises 21.90 per cent of the total caseload, the data stated.

India’s Covid-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on 7 August and went past 30 lakh on 23 August.

According to the ICMR, a cumulative total of 3,94,77,848 samples have been tested up to 27 August with 9,01,338 samples being tested on Thursday.
