Chennai: Inspiration of Chennai – iChennai – award was presented by Rotary Club of Chennai Mitra to Sashikala Sriram, an educationist with more than 32 years of experience.
The award was presented by the past district governor of Rotary, ‘Abirami’ Ramanathan. Club secretary Praveen, president Suresh Srinivasan, trainer NS Saravanan and director-vocational service Srinivasan Balarama were present at the function.
Sashikala Sriram has been principal and director-education for a cluster of schools. She is currently the honorary director for Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School, a free school in Besant Nagar and has transformed the school in the last few years.
iChennai awards are presented to those who have made a difference in any field and are an inspiration for others to follow, said iChennai chairman N S Saravanan.
