Chennai: Covid-19 pandemic has spread its tentacles to every sphere of life, inflicting telling effect on many. Public Health Centre at West Mambalam, has said in a statement that its income is reduced very much but it has to meet its obligations like staff salary, operational cost and maintenance.
“In the pervading pandemic scenario we have to safeguard the doctors and staff by giving protective gears, face mask, sanitisers besides sanitising the hospital at regular intervals. We have to be changing the gears regularly daily. Necessarily we have to keep optimum stock. We are negotiating and purchasing them from various sources. It works out to large amount,” it said.
Seeking financial support from the public, it said donations to PHC are exempted under Sec 80 (G)of IT Act.
