New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has said 75 per cent of the new coronavirus cases in India are concentrated in 10 States and Union Territories.
It also said that 10 States and UTs are reporting 74 per cent of new recoveries. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are among States reporting higher number of recoveries and new Covid-19 cases, it said.
India Covid-19 tally today crossed 58 lakh after 86,052 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,141 deaths have also been reported.
India currently has 9,70,116 active cases while 47,56,165 people have recovered after getting infected. The country’s death toll has now gone up to 92,290, as per the latest data from the Health Ministry.
