Chennai: DMDK president Vijayakanth and his wife and party leader Premalatha Vijayakanth, who were tested positive for Covid-19 recently, will be discharged from the hospital today.
In a medical bulletin, Miot Hospital said that both cooperated well with doctors in the treatment process resulting in the improvement of their health condition. ‘They will be discharged today,’ it added.
Days after Vijayakanth tested positive for Covid-19, his wife and party treasurer Premalatha was also infected with the virus and was admitted to the hospital.
“Vijayakanth has recovered from the virus and does not show any symptom now. He will be discharged after carrying out preliminary tests on Premalatha Vijayakanth. He has responded well to the treatment,” an earlier release said.
