New Delhi: Though the national average is dipping, 5 States in the country are seeing huge increase in fresh Covid-19 cases, according to government data.
Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh witnessed a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases between 13 September and 4 October.
During the above period, Covid-19 cases in Kerala rose by 112 per cent, it was a 93 per cent rise in Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand saw 61 per cent, and Odisha and Madhya Pradesh both registered a 54 per cent increase in the number of infections.
According to official data, Kerala has the highest number of active cases per million population in the country – 2,421 cases per million.
