Chennai: Handset makers are trying out new things with the government opening up economy by relaxing locdown restrictions.
Micromax Informatics Ltd has unveiled a new sub-brand ‘in’, as it makes a comeback in the smartphone segment. The announcement comes on the heels of the PLI approvals sanctioned by the government of India.
Rahul Sharma, co-founder, Micromax launched the ‘in’ brand on the company’s digital handles. “We are delighted to make a comeback in the India market with our sub-brand ‘in’. When you have the word India or ‘in’ on you, it gives you a sense of responsibility. The weight of a billion hopes. But bigger than anything is the pride it gives. Our endeavour is to bring India on the global smartphone map again with in mobiles.”
Continuing its offerings in the pocket- friendly segment, Oppo has announced the launch of A15 in the Indian market.
Riding high on the success of the recently introduced A53, OPPO aims to further strengthen its A series with A15 that offers promising features in this segment.
Built with a 3D curved body design, the device comes equipped with an AI Triple Camera set up, a 6.52-inch waterdrop screen, and a 4230mAh battery. The device will be available in 3+32GB variant at Rs 10,990.
Oppo said A15 is designed for customers who are specifically looking for a camera upgrade with a large screen to enjoy immersive content consumption experience in the pocket-friendly segment.
