Chennai: Popular Telugu actor Chiranjeevi is the latest to test positive for Covid-19. He has issued a statement stating that he was tested positive after he went through a test as part of safety protocol to start shooting for his next film ‘Acharya’.
He said that he is asymptomatic. He also asked those in contact with him for past few days to stay safe.
‘Acharya’ is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy under the Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainments banners. The film stars Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal.
Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan tested positive recently and was admitted to hospital. Telugu cinema saw the likes of filmmaker SS Rajamouli and actor Rajasekar down with the virus.
