Chennai: Sambaji Anna Mane, a long time resident of Satara in Maharashtra, has been cremating unclaimed dead bodies with due respect for more than four decades. Besides performing last rites to the departed souls, he also performs ‘Pithru karmas’.
In view of Deepavali festival, Appayya Dkishita Foundation based in Kottivakkam, Chennai, provided new dress materials for the entire family members of Mane along with provisions, groceries and financial assistance, said a press release.
