Chennai: Despite a cyclonic episode, the Greater Chennai Corporation managed to carry out Covid-19 related activities unhindered.
Also, officials hope to hike the numbers of tests in the coming days.
According to data put out by the Corporation, this morning the tally of total positive cases was 4,206 which is at two per cent.
Since the lockdown, Chennai has recorded 2,13,417 cases of Covid-19, of which 2,05,378 have recovered over the months. The recovery rate in the city is at 96 per cent.
The most number of recoveries took place at Anna Nagar with 22,662 persons overcoming covid.
It is reported that nearly 3,833 persons have died due to the viral infection.
As per records, 485 persons died in Teynampet, 432 casualties were reported in Anna Nagar and 424 deaths were recorded in Kodambakkam.
On 25 November, 10,196 tests were carried out by the city Corporationās health department.
Currently, Anna Nagar has 431 positive cases and 447 cases are reported in Teynampet.
Places such as Manali have the least number of cases at 79 and Shollinganallur has 91 positive cases.
Nearly, 60.18 per cent of those affected with Covid are male and 39.82 per cent are female.
The viral infection has most affected people in the age group of 50-59 with 18.89 per cent belonging to this age group.
