Chennai: DMK president MK Stalin today was admitted to a hospital in the city, after he complained of uneasiness.
According to sources, Stalin who was visiting his Kolathur constituency this morning, felt dizzy.
Speaking to reporters after his check-up at the hospital, he said, ‘I felt tired and dizzy this morning. Immediately, a team of doctors at the hospital checked my ECG and blood pressure. I am alright now’.
Stalin was in Kolathur to visit flood-hit areas and was distributing relief, post the Nivar cyclone last week.
Meanwhile, the Madras High Court this morning squashed four criminal defamation cases against the DMK president.
Hearing the case, Justice N Sathish Kumar said, ‘Persons in public life should develop tolerance against criticism. They must be responsible while making public speeches and should desist from levelling personal attacks’.
The cases were filed for Stalin’s comment against former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
