Chennai: A day after Prasad Studios informed the Madras High Court that they are ready to permit music director Ilayaraja inside the premises to take his belongings, the latter today chose to withdraw his case and ready to vacate the place after taking his equipment.
Remember the musician used a recording facility in Prasad Studio for over 35 years. He was denied access after the owners decided to lease out the premises for an IT company.
Ilayaraja had earlier sought Rs 50 lakh as compensation for mental agony caused due to forcible eviction.
On Tuesday, the counsel for Ilayaraja sought permission for allowing the music technician and the personal assistant of the music composer inside the Prasad Studios in assisting with transport of all equipment kept inside the studio.
Prasad Studios informed the court that they are ready to permit Ilayaraja inside the premises to take his belongings but he should not meddle with their affairs in future.
Agreeing to this, Ilayaraja has decied to take away his equipment.
