Chennai: Capgemini recently announced the launch of CapSarathi, a mobile app designed to offer a one-stop solution of information and services for People with Disabilities (PwD).
A press release said, the app, developed in collaboration with Sarthak Educational Trust, is designed taking into consideration the accessibility requirements of all 21 disability categories and will be available in six languages namely Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali.
CapSarathi enables people with disabilities or their family members to access relevant information such as government schemes, policies and provisions such as disability certificate, pension, transport concessions, reservations.
Details of government, private and non-profit service providers in the areas of health, education, skill, employment and rehabilitation, national and international scholarship program, free or concessional assistive device providers, online resources such as braille-online-audio books, details of assistive devices and matrimonial services and upcoming events such as assistive device camps, job fairs and others, can also be accessed.
The unique feature of this app is that training and services are tailor-made and customised based on the details and requirements of the users captured through the app.It also captures user details like previous enrolment in skilling programs and employment status of the age group 18-35 years. Based on this information, further outreach and mobilisation is conducted to boost enrolments. After the completion of training, employment support will also be provided to the users of CapSarathi.
