New Delhi: India reported 11,067 new Covid-19 cases and 13,087 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing down the active caseload to 1.41 lakh.
According to the Union Health Ministry, nineteen states and Union Territories have reported no new Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours even as fresh cases witnessed a marginal rise.
The new cases take the cumulative count of people infected with the virus in the country to 1,08,58,371 and and 1,05,61,608 recoveries. This has taken the recovery rate to 97.27 per cent.
Less than 5,000 active cases have been recorded in 33 states/UTs. With 94 deaths registered in the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths toll now stands at 1,55,252.
Today is the 322nd day since India implemented a nationwide lockdown to help curb the novel coronavirus pandemic. So far, India has recorded more than 1.08 crore confirmed COVID-19 cases, including over 1.55 lakh deaths. A total of 1.05 crore people have recuperated from COVID-19 in the country so far
