Rohan Gandotra will be playing the character of a soldier Karan Yadav in the upcoming series 1962: The war in the hills which is based on the 1962 indo china war.
The star cast is ensemble with Abhay Deol, Sumeet Vyas, Rohan Gandotra, Akash Thosar and Hemal ingle. The finite series is directed by ace director Mahesh Manjrekar and it would be out on a major OTT platform on the 26 February.Ā
Rohan says, ‘The story is about the Indo China war of 1962. They were 125 men of Kumaon regiment who fought against 3000 Chinese soldiers. The story is on the bravery of these 125 men who were led by Major Suraj Singh which is the inspiration of Major Shaitan Singh. I am playing the character of Karan Yadav and they say that Yadav’s have fought very bravely in thatĀ war. My character is the son of a sarpanch. There is a sub story where I have a love traingle with Akash thosar and Hemal Ingle. I am playing a very ruthless soldier. He is ruthless while at war and is a killing machine literally. It’s a story of war and it has parallel angles of love, friendship and sacrifice.’
