Chennai: Uber has announced the launch of its operations in Salem with its Uber Go, Uber Auto and Intercity service.
The launch marks Uber’s presence in its 91st Indian city and makes Salem the fifth city in Tamilnadu, along with Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai, where Uber has a presence.
Uber’s launch in Salem is in line with the company’s ‘India to Bharat’ strategy to increase its footprint and product offerings to regional markets, thereby realising its vision of “providing doorstep pickups, safe and contactless payments, all at affordable prices.”
