Chennai: Elaborate arrangements are being made ahead of the the presentation of Tamilnadu’s interim-budget in the Assembly tomorrow.
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who holds the finance portfolio, will table the budget, which is expected to have some key announcements.
Tamilnadu Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal had convened the next session of the Assembly on 23 February at 11 am.
A release from the Assembly Secretary said that the interim budget will be presented during the session. This session will be convened at the Kalaivanar Arangam.
Key announcements to be made in the interim budget was the major point of discussion during the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami recently.
The first Assembly session of this year commenced on 2 February and ended on 5 February. Sources said that the debate on the interim budget will go on for four days.
