Chennai: With just a month to go for elections in Tamilnadu, Arjunamurthy today launched his party caller Indhiya Makkal Munnrtra Katchi. Remember this was rumoured to be the name of Rajinikanth’s political outfit.
After being thrust into the limelight by actor Rajinikanth as the chief co-ordinator of his proposed party that never took off, Arjunamurthy last month announced forming his own party.
He said the aim of starting a party is for those who want change in Tamilnadu. He also added that he would not use the actor’s name or photos. Claiming that he would pursue inclusiveness as a political ideology, he felt Periyar’s ideology had not been taken to the people.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth today issued a statement wishing all success for Arjunamurthy in his new endeavour.
