Chennai: AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran today met his alliance partner and DMDK founder Vijayakanth at the DMDK headoffice in the city.
Sources said that the meeting was just a courtesy call. Dhinakaran’s visit to DMDK office happened at a time when DMDK cadres in some parts of the State alleged that they were not being ‘treated well’ by their AMMK counterparts.
DMDK leaders Premalatha and L K Sudhish and other senior members were present during today’s meeting.
It may be noted that DMDK which exited the NDA has been alloted 60 seats by the AMMK. Premalatha Vijayakanth will contest for the first time in Virudhachalam constituency where Vijayakanth won his first election in 2006.
