Chennai: Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan today said if voted to power they will come up with Makkal Canteens where people will get all items at affordable rates.

He said people should not confuse it with Amma Unavagams. Releasing the MNM’s manifesto ahead of 6 April Assembly elections, Kamal Haasan said, “we will provide sustainable development and connected smart infrastructure”.

He assured honest and corrupt free government empowered through AI empowered governance if voted to power.

As part of Knowledge Resolution, Kamal Haasan said, “we will provide quality smart education for all and assured quality healthcare”.

Self reliance of rural areas will be ensured through various schemes, he said and added, “reservation will continue till the reserved are uplifted, carbon neutral cities, green clean villages and energy dependence will be achieved”.

Kamal Haasan assured universal basic income to all below poverty line. “No one in the society should be felt alienated, we will come up with clean, green pollution free industrial and environmental policies are our priority”.

Kamal further said, “phased prohibition towards total prohibition will be our agenda”.
