Chennai: With the campaign coming to a close for 6 April Assembly elections in Tamilnadu, the final countdown for the polling day has started.
With less than 24 hours left for polling to commence, the Election Commission is busy making last minute arrangements at voting booths.
Three-tier security will be at place at counting centres. Corona prevention measures are being taken at polling booths.
Greater Chennai Police Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal has said people can vote without any fear. Around 30,000 cops have been deployed in Chennai for security.
Around 1.58 lakh security personnel are set to maintain vigil across the State. Flying squads are focussing more on 105 constituencies where they are allegations of huge money flow.
