Chennai: A day after director Shankar announced that he would be directing Hindi version of ‘Anniyan’, Lyca has managed to get a go ahead from Madras High court to appeal against its earlier order that Shankar can’t be restrained from directing films untill he completes ‘Indian 2’.

Lyca, which is bankrolling ‘Indian 2’, wanted Shankar to complete the project first before moving ahead to other films.

Meanwhile, producer Aascar V Ravichandran has knocked the door of the court seeking to issue legal notice over ‘Anniyan’ remake rights.

He claimed rights over the story and remake rights of the film. Remember much recently Shankar announced doing a pan-Indian film with Ramcharan.

Lyca who is bankrolling ‘Indian 2’ starring Kamal Haasan had filed a petition urging the court to restrain Shankar from venturing to do other movies before completing ‘Indian 2’. The court then dismissed the petition.
