New Delhi: Twitter India jumped into action on complaint of Supreme Court’s Registry and suspended a Twitter account impersonating 48th Chief Justice of India (CJI) N V Ramana who is not on any social media platforms.
Sworn in on Saturday, the Chief Justice does not have a Twitter, or any other social media, account.
The tweet – from the handle @NVRamanna – has been deleted and the account has been suspended.
The deleted tweet read: ‘Due to Ajit Doval’s diplomacy, the US decided to supply raw materials to India #vaccination @PMOIndia’.
The CJI lodged a police complaint after the Twitter account on his name surfaced spreading false information on the social media platform.
