Chennai: Private sector HDFC Life Insurance reported a 2 per cent increase in standalone net profit in the quarter ended 31 March, 2021, at Rs 317.94 crore.
During the quarter, the life insurer had collected new premiums of Rs 434.47 crore as against Rs 298.40 crore in the year-ago period.
HDFC Life said it sold about 9.8 lakh new individual policies during the quarter under review, thereby registering a YoY growth of 10 percent in FY21.
HDFC Life reported a 29 per cent growth in its new business premium for the March quarter. The growth was broad based with both traditional savings and simple protection products doing well.
