Chennai: Allegations against Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan teacher G Rajagopal have been increasing on social media as students and alumni shared their unpleasant experiences.
Sources say more have reached out to the police, and the department has decided to intensify the probe by taking Rajagopal in their custody. Currently, he is lodged in prison under judicial custody.
The teacher has been accused of gross sexual misconduct ranging from unsuitable messages sent to female students, commenting on their bodies to touching them inappropriately.
Meanwhile, cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has expressed his disappointment over the issue.
Ashwin took to his Twitter handle and revealed that he had been disturbed by the incident as not only he is an alumnus of the school but also he is a father of two girls.
Several students and alumni of the school took to social media to call out Rajagopal — who teaches Accountancy and Business Studies at the KK Nagar branch of the school — for interacting with students with sexual intent.
The posts of the students have gone viral on social media, and more and more students are now sharing their harrowing experiences anonymously.
