Chennai: Vimeo has completed its spin off from IAC and will begin trading on Nasdaq under the symbol ‘VMEO’ as a separate publicly-traded company.
Founded in 2004 in NYC, today Vimeo has 800 plus employees in offices around the world. Based on the pre-market trading, analysts expect the company’s valuation to be around $10 billion.
Vimeo CEO, Anjali Sud, is a 37-year-old Indian American and one of the few female CEOs, particularly in tech.
In India, Vimeo’s operations are based in Bangalore, led by Dayananda Nanjundappa, SVP of Platform and Technology.
