New Delhi: A Qatar Executive business jet has flown from Delhi to Dominica, where India’s most wanted Mehul Choksi currently is.
Setting speculation about Choksi’s likely deportation to India where he is wanted in an alleged Rs 13,500 crore bank fraud case, the Qatar Executive Bombardier Global reached Dominica after a nearly 20-hour journey.
It is still not clear if someone has gone from Delhi to Dominica. Mehul Choksi, the alleged mastermind of Rs 13,500 crore bank fraud case, went missing from Antigua on 23 May and was arrested by Dominican Police on charges of illegally entering the country.
Choksi, through his Dominican lawyer, filed an appeal before the Dominican High Court against his detention and alleged that he was kidnapped, beaten and forcibly taken to Dominica.
The court has restrained repatriation of Mehul Choksi to any country and has been sent to quarantine till 2 June, 2021.
