7 key Covid-hit States get life-saving support

Chennai: SaveLife Foundation (SLF), traditionally recognised in road safety and emergency medical care, is currently assisting seven States across the country by helping them ramp up their Covid-care capacity.

The organisation, with support from its partners and donors, has scaled up its Covid response to reach over 27 districts in seven heavily impacted States including Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, and Himachal Pradesh.

In the last two months, the foundation has deployed more than 2000 Type D oxygen cylinders with a total oxygen capacity of 95 MT across hospitals and Covid care facilities in Delhi, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh.

In order to brace for any future waves of the dreaded disease, SLF is working to continue assisting States in building their Oxygen and critical-care capacity – in particular paediatric intensive care, going forward.
