Chennai: Popular social media political commentator Kishore K Swamy, known for his anti-DMK stand, was arrested today by the police.
According to sources, he was arrested for his defamatory comments on political leaders, including former Chief Ministers C N Annadurai and M Karunanidhi. A case have been filed against him under three sections and further investigation is on, sources added.
Only recently, the Trichy police arrested YouTuber ‘Sattai’ Duraimurugan and others for allegedly threatening a man who had put up a post criticising late LTTE chief Prabhakaran on social media.
Also, DMK lawyersâ wing secretary of Thiruvidaimaruthur on Friday filed a complaint against Duraimurugan for allegedly producing a âslanderousâ video against Karunanidhi.
