Chennai: The Tamilnadu government will take a call on reopening schools in the State after assessing the situation following the relaxation of some curbs, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has said.
Speaking to the media, he said, “We cannot accommodate all students in one class. We need space as more students are coming to government schools. We have to decide on the number of students to be allowed per classroom before reopening.'”
He added: “‘For now, we are thinking about conducting classes through Kalvi TV and online mediums such as WhatsApp to give tasks to children. We are yet to think about the physical classes.”
The class 11 admission in government and government-aided schools began in the State on Monday.
