Chennai: Fresh audio clips of expelled AIADMK supremo VK Sasikala speaking to party functionaries and supporters sympathetic to her political return have surfaced, in which she can be heard saying “there is a need to lead the party in a fair way and we can’t be silent spectators”.
Amid indication that she would start a state-wide tour, she was heard saying in the audio, ‘I will come in after lockdown… ‘ ‘Don’t worry. I will come after the pandemic is over,’ she added.
Meanwhile, former Minister and AIADMK spokesman D Jayakumar accused Sasikala of trying to create divisions within the party by releasing audios of her conversation with party workers.
Jayakumar said that if anyone goes against the party’s law, it will not be tolerated.
The AIADMK on Monday expelled 17 party members while warning of disciplinary action against those who interacted with Sasikala. Most of expelled members were said to have spoken to the ousted interim general secretary.
