Mohanlal’s ong-pending film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simha has a new release date now. The film will hit the theatres on August 12 on the occasion of Onam.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Marakkar is a historical war drama set in the 16th century. The film was originally scheduled to release on March 26, 2020, but was postponed multiple times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Marakkar: Arabikdalinte Simham won three National Awards, but it is yet to see the light of the day. The makers have been trying to release the film for over a year now. Marakkar was slated to release alongside Malik on May 13, 2021. But, the film’s release was deferred due to the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
After a lot of consideration, Mohanlal took to Twitter on Friday, to announce the film’s new release date. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham will release in theatres on August 12 on the occasion of Onam.
