Chennai: The Tamilnadu government will revitalise and empower the Lok Ayukta by according highest priority for providing a clean administration in the State.
Delivering his customary address to the newly constituted 16th Legislative Assembly, Governor Banwarilal Purohit said providing clean administration is the highest priority.
He said the Lok Ayukta will be revitalised and empowered to deal with complaints against public authorities including elected representatives and Government officials.
The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) will be energised and pending complaints dealt with expeditiously.
A Right to Services Act will be introduced to streamline the delivery of various public services by Government agencies, he said.
